Samsung has introduced a private mode in its Galaxy S5. To hide data on your Galaxy S5, you have to turn on the option in the settings which you will find under ‘Private Mode’ in the personalization section. Next go through your Galaxy S5 in order to mark some content as private. For example if you want to hide photos, go to Gallery app and select the photos that you want to keep private. Now tap the menu icon there and find ‘Move to private’. If you want to hide selected music, videos, and audio recordings, follow the same way.

After you mark the files as private, you have to go back to the Settings and turn off the ‘Private Mode’. Once you have locked the files, no one will be able to know what is inside the vault. To unlock the vault you have to provide your fingerprint ID or pass code.

LG’s phone is having a guest mode which allows you to set a separate unlocking code for the guest. This feature is really helpful when your friend take your phone and you do not want to give access to everything including the unlock code.

Under the General tab, go to settings and look for ‘Guest Mode’. Then you can specify which are the apps your friends can access. For example you can give them access to music and alarm clock but not to texts and emails. You can also restrict the access to Gallery app.

By following the above ways you can hide and secure data on Galaxy S5 or LG G3.
