LG G5 Fast Charging Not Working Properly

Every smartphone comes with a few problems when they are introduced to the market. The LG G5 is no exception. We have had a few problems with the phone and one of the most prominent issues is fast charging. Since everyone loves to spend as less time as they can charging the phone, the fast charging feature has become a need for many smartphone users and they do not like it when it does not work.

Explanation

The LG G5 is designed in a way that fast charging will allow your phone to go from 0 battery to 80 percent in just half an hour. Once the phone has reached 80 percent battery, the charging speed will go back to normal and your phone will go from 80 percent to 100 percent at the normal speed at which it charges. If you expect your phone to charge fast between 80 percent and 100 percent then you will be disappointed. There is no fix for that. Let us discuss some solutions for LG G5 fast charging issues when the phone is not charging fast even between 0 and 80 percent.

Solution 1

You should avoid using your device while it’s charging. This is because a significant amount of battery is being used to power the use of the phone at the same time, for instance, when you are using Facebook app or playing one of your favorite games. So do not use your phone if you want the fast charging to work as expected.

Solution 2

Many LG G5 fast charging issues arise from the wrong use of charging cable and charger. Remember to use a cable or charger which supports Quick Charge 3.0. The best thing to do is use the cable and charge that come as a part of the out of the box accessories for the phone. If you select a different cable or charger then you will not get the anticipated results and quick charging will not work.

Solution 3

Take a look at the charging port to see if there is any dust or dirt. If there is, use a small needle and clean it carefully. See if the charger you are using has any damages. Try using another charger that supports Quick Charge 3.0.

Solution 4

Fast charging issues bothered many Android users in the past, and one of the things that turned out to be a problem was the fact the USB cable was not fully inserted. Make sure to push the cable properly, all the way into the charger and hopefully, this will solve the problem.

Solution 5

Sometimes, a third-party app can be responsible for the problem. If the fast charging issues occurred right after you installed some third-party app, uninstall that application because that may fix the problem.

If you tried the methods above, but you are still experiencing LG G5 fast charging issues, take your device and your charger to the store in which you purchased it or to your carrier.
