New Apple iPad 2017: Different Rumors on the Latest Tablet Line Release Date

iPad users and fans have been excited about the much-awaited flagship to be released this year. We have heard about the Apple iPad 2017 and the Apple iPad Pro yet there are other rumors circulating about different screen sizes. Others are talking about yet another iPad 2017 range with larger display screens.

The previous iPad models, from the first generation of iPad Mini to the fourth generation, have their share of the limelight when it comes to being popular, albeit, some say that the iPad Mini 3 did not really offer much difference from its predecessor, except for larger memory storage. For some current owners of these devices, however, transitioning for their already reliable iPads to newer models is not a possibility.

There is no doubt that Apple devices attract consumers, especially the latest ones. But some observers say that for awhile, Apple has not given its iPad line the attention and drama the iPhone models get. As a result, more people have their eyes on the latter. But with all the talks about the launch of the new tablet line, it seems that the tech giant is dancing to a different drum beat this time. What can we really expect for 2017?

New iPad Pro Rumors

After iPad Pro 9.7-inch, a larger model will be released by Apple, according to rumors. Supposedly released in March, the 10.5-inch tablet was a no show but the analyst for KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, there is a very high possibility that it will be unveiled at the Worldwide Developer Conference in June.

While the screen will not be smaller than 10 inches, there have been contentions on the exact screen size of the device, with some speculating on a 10.1-inch and others presuming it will be larger at 10.9 inches. As for the design, it is said to share the same look with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The screen bezel might be reduced so the size can be the same as the smaller iPad Pro but the screen will be larger.

But another rumor surfaced that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 will be released this year which indicated that the latter is not a replacement of the former. And before the recent rumors started, there were also talks that a 10.5-inch iPad, not the iPad Pro line, will be released in June or even a month earlier. This came out after documents on the new design were leaked via Twitter. Also, a source relayed information on the Urban Armor Gear Metropolis Folio Case for the 10-inch plus iPad but there is confirmation if this is the “Pro” flagship or simply the iPad.

As we all know, the new iPad 2017, per se, is different from the iPad Pro. The new iPad 2017 is what others refer to as the fifth generation iPad and that Apple made a decision to call it simply, the “New iPad 2017” which also comes with a 9.7-inch screen. But there is a 12.9 -inch metropolis Folio case that will work with the Smart Keyboard and Pencil, accessories that are only compatible with iPad Pro. Until the new tablet line is out, consumers will not really know if it’s simply the new iPad or iPad Pro. Who knows, it might be the iPad Pro vs. iPad 2017, after all.
