Sometimes, it gets difficult to handle all the cookies, history, and cache files. So, it is recommended to clean your YouTube history and reset your account. This is a very easy process plus saved videos and playlists remain untouched. Hence, you do not lose any kind of data other than watching history. Go to YouTube, and click on the History option located on the left side of the screen. Then choose the option to clear watching history.

You can also clear the search history. If you are using the mobile app then you can log out once then log in back to remove this error. This is the second and fundamental solution for this error. If the problem is not solved by applying this solution then opt for the next one.

You can clear your entire browsing history, cookies, and temporary files. This might take a few minutes of your time and you may have to lose data from other platforms. This is why we recommend solution one but if the problem persists even after that, we recommend you to opt for this one. Here are a few steps for Google Chrome users.  You can go to browser settings and go for clear history from the beginning of the time. The browser will ask you to tick options for clearance. Select everything including cookies, cache files, history, passwords, and auto-fill data. Then you can log in into YouTube account again.

Incognito Mode in Chrome

Incognito mode solves all browser related problems and plays video for you. You can switch back to normal mode anytime you wish for. Resetting will remove all the errors present and all your videos will start playing. Incognito mode is more useful for people who are heavy internet users and cannot erase their history or reset to default factory settings. This solution is applicable to YouTube mobile application, tablets, laptops or PC browsers.

Watch videos using Video ID

You can use video ID instead of a link. There is a combination of numbers and letters at the end of every YouTube video link. This alpha-numeric combination is video ID which is a unique code for every video of the platform. You can search the video in YouTube search option and most of the times Error 400 will not be there.
